Credit One has been operating in New Zealand since 2013 and this year is expanding its reach with the opening of a new branch in Waikato.
New Zealand manager Lani Fogelberg says while the official opening date is yet to be confirmed, the office is open for business.
This makes the fourth Credit One branch in New Zealand, joining offices in Auckland, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki.
"It was a natural next step for us. There had been a couple of people we'd been speaking with for quite a while about working for us down in the Waikato region, because of the potential there for a finance brokerage to service the greater area across several different industries. Transport is obviously a major one, but also all the agricultural businesses that go right through Waikato and up the Coromandel."
Finance brokers Clare Burton and Willie Waters will be the faces of Credit One in Waikato.
"Clare's background is extensive; she's been in the sales and finance industry for the best part of 15 years, in both New Zealand and in London. She worked for southwest London's largest leasing company and she's also had periods of self-employment in New Zealand, specialising in finance and leasing and insurance management. She has also worked for some of New Zealand's largest motor dealerships and has a huge number of contacts in the finance industry," says Lani.
"Willie has worked in the insurance industry but also has more than 20 years experience in the engineering and automotive industries. He loves nothing more than working with innovative companies and businesses looking to manage their risks and grow and expand."
Lani says opening a branch in Waikato means Credit One will be able to better service the Waikato region.
"By having the local representation we can also cater for the significant economic growth that the region is experiencing. Clare and Willie are already out seeing clients and we hope to have the office completed and ready to launch publicly around the beginning of March."
